Finalist in the 2023 Northern Beaches Environmental Art and Design Prize. 'This work takes its cues from the recent wave of flooding in the Hawkesbury in 2022. River gums were uprooted and tangled along the Hawkesbury River where they still remain as reminders of the unwanted but all too familiar extreme weather patterns we now experience. Trees are the kings of storing carbon and such an important factor in the health of our environment, but even in their demise there is still beauty to be seen in their tangled roots and twisted forms.'
