I have always been interested in plants, especially Australian native plants whose form and texture have led to my interest in Botanical Art. After high school I had a traditional art training at the Julian Ashton Art School in the Rocks, Sydney. I have been teaching at primary schools, Regional Galleries and privately for many years and worked as a freelance Children's Book Illustrator in both London and Sydney I paint purely for the joy of it and my still lives of plant arrangements often include birds seen in my garden near Wollombi in the Hunter Valley.
