"The drawings featured in ‘Epoch’ were created in response to the events of the past 18 months in which we’ve collectively become hyper-aware of the human body. Here, the human form is depicted in a myriad of ways - vulnerable, strong, sensual and often connected to a device (our outlets for transcending the isolating impacts of the pandemic). The drawings reflect my endless fascination with the physical form, but are also an exploration of my internal world. Each was drawn in my bedroom during Sydney’s most recent lockdown and consequently are imbued with the sense of longing that characterises this disorienting time."
